Runswick to Filey

Had a great run from Runswick today in a steady 16kts gusting to 23kts making a steady 6 to 7kts through the water under single reefed main and headsail. We set off from Runswick under sail at 11am and were soon out of the bay and making over 6kts on a broad reach in a 3ft short steep chop, we kept this up past Whitby which looked quite impressive from the sea, right the way to a point just before Filey Brigg where the wind swung around to blow out of the bay and made us tack into it for a couple of hours to where we have dropped the anchor for the night.

The idea at the minute is to stay here until tomorrow afternoon, about 2pm then have a short sail around Flamborough Head and anchor again or go into Bridlington for the night.
