Levington & More Boats

We arrived in Levington late this morning after having a quick look at Fox's marina on the way, nothing at the Fox's broker in our budget though. At Levington however there were several boats of interest, a Prospect 900 (wrong layout & felt small), a trapper 400 (no headroom & badly neglected), a trapper 500 (good layout and headroom, had a solid fuel heater but needed a lot of work) and the Jeanneau Fantasia on hard standing a little further up river.
The Fantasia turned out to be rather nice, the hull and keel appeared in good condition and below was quite pleasant despite it snowing outside. A good sized aft double cabin to port and toilet to starboard left the rest of the boat as an open plan layout with a table in the centre and double berth forward. My only concerns after looking over the Fantasia thoroughly were the hull strength and heavy weather capability (if felt as if it was a very lightweight racer), and the fin keel drawing 4'11″ which makes a lot of places I'd like to explore inaccessible bar a few hours over high water.
Still time to look for a floating home though, we'll be looking after the house until the 20th April.
